Pula is the largest city in Istria County. It is located in the southernmost part of the Istrian peninsula, a city with an ancient tradition long 3000 years. The Pula's history is connected with the ancient Romans.

The Brijuni National Park is Croatia's most famous national park, which was attended by many world leaders and celebrities during the time when it was the summer residence of the ex president Josip Broz Tito.

Pula is the largest and one of the oldest towns in Istria. It is known worldwide for the sixth largest amphitheater which was built in the first century. At that time it was used for gladiatorial contests and today it is an open-air stage.
The oldest surviving monuments from the Roman period are The Golden Gate - Arch of the Sergi, Temple of Augustus, with the Twin Gate City Wall, Gate of Hercules, Forum and the small Roman theater.
Istria has excellent transport connections with all major European cities. The Pula airport, located just 5 km from the city center is easily accessible by taxi, bus or organized transfer.
The Istrian Ypsilon offers a quick and safe highway which connect the southernmost parts of the peninsula with the central Istria, Slovenia on the North and Kvarner region on the East. By train you can reach Istria from Ljubljana and Zagreb.
If you want to visit Istria by sea, there are year-round and seasonal ship lines. Those of you who come with your own boats marinas in Istria will give you a warm welcome.
Along the promenade which runs for kilometers along the coast of Pula extend numerous gravel, rocks and stone beaches.

Here is a ramp for persons with mobility restrictions to facilitate access into the water. Another excellent beach with the blue flag is the beach Brioni, at the entrance to the tourist zone Verudela, near the town of Pula. This is followed by the gravel beach Ambrela. The Histria beach is located under the hotel with same name. Popular beach Stoja lies on the western part of the town.
Pul film festival is the most attended film festival in Croatia with more than 73 thousand people in fifteen days of the festival events.
Histria Festival is an international music and scene festival, which takes place every year in Pula. This festival is known all over Europe as numerous world-renowned artists played here and it is probably the most successful festival in Croatia and beyond.
The combination of ancient and modern city, including the excellent tourist services, attracts many tourists every year.
